Once upon a time the USA ruled the Black Hat World. Total domination, undisputed leaders. That changed when our government started becoming more Politically Correct and consumer protective. In the process instead of gaining freedom, we began losing freedom. Take for instance the No Spam laws regarding email. All that accomplished was now Email Spam comes from other countries. Next came stricter Internet regulations first with the adult sites, then with every one.  But what about the Black Hats? Where are they really located and who’s who? Even our Black Hats have become more PC and Consumer friendly, wimpy actually.

For artificial Intelligence, captcha crackers and human emulation, China has become the Leader!  Russia continues to maintain a lead with hackers, crackers, and more mischievous black hat activity. But wait! Saudi Arabia and other Arab nations are gaining ground with hacking! Germany is still a force to reckon with. Meanwhile India and Pakistan you can buy really cheap labor for human captcha cracking and other black hat duties.

The USA still has a significant presence but no where near where it use to say 10 years ago. It seems the very best of the best now work for the US government or retired!  What’s left are mostly wanna-be’s and a lot of mediocre BH’s. Coders and crackers are still around here, but gone are the good old black hat days when the USA was the undisputed leader!
